Obama's Acceptance Speech and my Republican father!

I have been watching Senator Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic convention with my REPUBLICAN father and his very REPUBLICAN friend. Republican being the hicup when watching a democratic speech. Very interesting to say the least! I was only able to catch the tail end of the speech but definitely got their opinion when I came over after class tonight. It was very interesting listening to their opinions but more interesting their opinion to how the media addressed this evening speech. After watching the last few minutes that I got to see of Obama's speech we watched some of the local news and we are now watching 'Larry King Live' with a Ben Stine appearance! Side Note: Ben Stine's voice is incredibly awkward. None the less, it is interesting the way that the media picks apart Obama's speech and the way that each member of the 'Larry King Live' panel including Ben Stine takes each part of this evening convention and critic's it to it's most minimal points. To watch the speech happen and take it for what it was was one thing then to watch Larry King and his panel, which my father and father's friend think they are they are included in, was quite another. While what I watched tonight either completely or slightly differed from other media outlets the most interesting aspect of tonight came from the viewers response to the media's response.
